Gutsul fest "Going out on Polonyna"

There is tradition at the last week of March in picturesque village Putyla in accompaniment of trembits take place "Gutsul fest out on Polonyna".
After Easter it's time for shepherds to gather flock of ships and go to tops og mountainss where they will stay till Autumn - in Carpthians people call it going out on Polonyna.

In village Putyla in colorful national clothes gather inhabitants of circular villages, shepherds ride beautiful horses. Everywhere sound national songs, people dance. Kindle the Vatra (fire) which symbolizes warm that should warm up shepherds during whole polonyna period.

Traditional Gutsul dishes, horse riding, exhibitions-sales of the masterpieces og folk masters, communication with highlanders-creates merry mood, satisfaction, gives unforgettable impressions and memories.
